General Admission Criteria

for Vocational Training & Disability Support Programs

HVO, Inc. offers services to adults 16 years of age or older with physical, mental, or emotional disabilities, as well as socio-economic disadvantages.  To be accepted into the program, individual applicants must possess basic self-help skills (feeding, toileting, etc.), be of no physical threat to self or others (recognize danger) and be cooperative concerning his/her habilitation/rehabilitation.  Admission is based on sponsorship from the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, North Carolina Division Services for the Blind, Vaya Health or referring Managed Care Organization (MCO), Haywood County Health & Human Services Agency, and other private or public entities.

Information needed for programs and services: Documentation verifying all disabilities, including any physical restrictions or other concerns that may impact vocational training, proof of citizenship (picture ID and a social security card or certified birth certificate), and a completed intake packet (forms must be signed by legal guardian if individual is not their own guardian).
